Yesterday, I got a mail about them wanting a phone-call / skype chat with me, so I added the woman they told me to add, and today she called me. After the conversation, she said she would like to invite me to a face2face interview in March, and I said yes!
I was so happy about it, and I wanted to tell my parents about it, and told my brother to tell them to call me when they got home.. My dad did, and I told him about it.. And Mr. Negativity himself started talking about the damn ADD-thing, and I should stay in Norway, and I'll be 25 before I'm done with school and bla bla bla!
Talk about ruining my mood!
I mean, OK they're older than me, and may want "the best" for me, but they keep forgetting I'm a grown-up too! I don't want to stay in Norway, and end up like them! I wanna explore the world, learn by my own mistakes, and do things my way! They need to understand I'm not a little girl anymore, and even if I do things the mainstream way they want me to do it, I will still be successful in some way or another!
So, what if I'm still in school at age 25? If that happens, then that's my choice..
Am I not allowed to decide about my own life?
Girl, follow your dreams, and make your own future!! I am really excited for you about the interview and you will get that job and live an amazing life in Florida. :D
SvarSlettYou shouldn't let a diagnosis hold you back either, because no law says you have to stay in Norway for the rest of your life because of it, so if that's not what you want, why should you? :) I know what I'm talking about.
Your dad most likely just doesn't want you to live that far away, my dad is the same about that matter :P
